From the 4th to the 12th of August 2017, 9 Irish athletes represented team Ireland at the 7th World Dwarf Games at the University of Gueph, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. The team brought home 17 medals won in various events, including javelin, discuss, swimming, power lifting, archery and table tennis.
